Mesa Leadership Program: Meet and Greet!

Welcome to my blog. I’m participating in the 2015-16 Mesa Leadership Program, which started Thursday, July 23, with a meet and greet in the evening.

Welcoming the new class is Melissa Jones, Mesa Leadership 2016 Chair.

There are 26 of us and we will meet all day once a month through April. We will learn about challenges facing the city, what resources are available, opportunities for community service and encouragement to get involved in local leadership. I’ll be reporting on the program and the information offered for The Arizona Republic in a series of articles and here, on this blog. I’ve lived in Mesa since my family moved here in 1970 and I’m looking forward to this new opportunity!

The group listens to Tony LoGuidice, a member of this year’s curriculum committee. Other members of the committe are Lucy Lopez and Forrest Smith.
